En tête au début puis relayée au passage dans la ligne d'en face, le représentante de Doris Schoenherr est passée à l'attaque peu après l'entrée de l'ultime ligne droite puis elle a longtemps semblé en mesure de s'imposer avant de ne pouvoir contrer l'attaque de la favorite tout à la fin, conservant néanmoins de peu une excellente deuxième place.
