A race for juvenile colts and geldings. Alan Greeff-trained US RANGER looked unlucky not to win on debut. He was touched off by some promising sorts and the winner was trained by Dean Smith. Smith has three runners carded for this and it is noteworthy that stable jockey Craig Zackey rides GB-bred GREY EAGLE. Stable companion JUST CARTER was narrowly beaten on the Polytrack on debut but did not repeat that when well beaten at Kenilworth. APPLES AND TEA and FLYING SKITT are both trained by trainers who are capable of having juvenile winners.
