Our tips

Une bien jolie épreuve pour chevaux arabes, préparatoire aux belles épreuves de février et mars au Moyen-Orient. Pas facile de connaitre le degré de préparation de chacun ainsi que leurs ambitions pour cette épreuve, c’est donc timidement que l’on accordera notre faveur au plus chargé Samlla, gagnant de Groupe I au printemps dernier. Il va devoir rendre du poids à ses aînés mais Maxime Guyon fait le déplacement, ce n’est pas pour rien, c’est un pari tentant.
Battu dans l’édition 2022 de cette épreuve, Hadi de Carrère avait gagné la « belle » quelques semaines plus tard à Riyadh. On peut imaginer que Thomas Fourcy ne l’aura pas amené totalement au top pour cette rentrée mais il est évidemment capable de jouer le podium d’entrée de jeu comme l’autre atout de l’écurie royannaise, Hoggar de l’Ardus, qui n’a pas beaucoup couru en 2022 mais qui est double vainqueur de Groupe I, dont la Qatar Arabian World Cup à Longchamp. C’est une première sur le sable, à voir comment cela va se passer mais lui aussi peut nourrir de sérieuses prétentions ce mercredi. Derrière ce trio qui se détache, on peut citer Jenkille Hipolyte, qui a terminé l’année sur deux succès et sera donc intéressant à voir évoluer à ce niveau ainsi que Rysk Tout, plus limitée en qualité mais performante à Pau.
