Our tips
Encore peu expérimenté malgré ses quatre ans, Excelsior n’en reste pas moins un élément de qualité, qui avait notamment gagné dans un très bon style en fin de saison dernière à Saint-Cloud. Plutôt bon pour son retour en piste à Lyon-Parilly, sans être totalement affûté, il découvre un bel engagement ce jeudi et ne devrait pas être loin du compte.
Pour s’imposer, il devra se défaire en priorité de Golden Call, qui n’est pas de tous les jours mais redoutable quand il est décidé. Pas dérangé par le retour du soleil sur la région parisienne, il conduira l’opposition en compagnie de Belgian Prince, toujours aussi difficile à cerner, capable du meilleur comme du pire. Le bon terrain lui enlève un peu de marge de manœuvre mais on est obligé de s’en méfier pour le podium. Enfin, Sir George pourrait compléter le Ze4-ordre, sur la lancée de sa dernière victoire à Angers.
