Cette bataille au plus haut niveau chez les steeple-chasers pourrait tourner à l'avantage de Fact To File, qui vient d'enlever le Novice Chase (Groupe I) à Leopardstown. Nous lui opposerons principalement Stay Away Fay, qui reste sur deux podiums au niveau Groupe II, et Monty's Star, qui n'a pas été revu depuis sa victoire du mois de décembre à Punchestown. Citons ensuite American Mike, qui vient d'enlever un Groupe II sur le steeple de Navan.
