Rarement décevant depuis le début de l'année, Général Intrigant devrait, sans incident, lutter à nouveau très activement en vue de la victoire, à l'arrivée de cette compétition réservée aux amateurs. Difficile de se passer de ses services avant coup ! Ses principaux rivaux pourraient bien être Genius de Braye, à reprendre, mais également Grazia du Bellay, déferrée des quatre pieds, cette fois, après deux parcours de remise en route, Géant d'Amour (méfiance !), et Fameux, plutôt sur la bonne (?) voie.
