La victoire devrait se jouer entre Jéronimo du Caux, attendu et façonné selon la méthode reconnue de son mentor Alain Laurent, Job du Persil, transformé depuis son exceptionnel hiver dans le Sud, et Jet de Busset, parfois victime de ses grandes allures mais doté d'une tenue à toute épreuve. Bien placé derrière les ailes de la voiture, ce trio paraît comme une solide base de jeu. Pour arbitrer les débats, citons Jéricho Vedaquais, irrésistible depuis son transfert dans les boxes de Simon Rousselle l'été dernier, Jet Society, pouliche ayant dévoilé de sérieux moyens mais qui affronte les mâles, ou Jockstrap, doté d'une très belle vitesse de base, mais qui aura besoin d'un parcours favorable pour la préserver. Jardin d'Erable et Jackpotina s'élancent en seconde ligne, mais peuvent rentrer aux balances.
