Our tips

Cette dernière réunion de l’année au galop débute sur les chapeaux de roue avec une préparatoire à la prochaine Grande Course de Haies de Pau. Sans afficher une confiance démesurée, tentons de faire confiance au quatre ans Kentucky Wood, qui a réalisé un bel automne à Auteuil en terminant deuxième du Maurice Gillois (Groupe I) puis troisième du Morgex (Groupe III). Sans doute pas rassasié, le voilà sur ce meeting de Pau dans l’autre discipline, avec la ferme intention d’y briller. Il y a de l’opposition mais en classe pure, c’est sans doute le meilleur du lot.
La partie n’est pas gagnée d’avance avec la présence de son compagnon de boxes Game of Storm, qui avait fait « all-in » l’hiver dernier en s’imposant dans le Prix Camille Duboscq (Listed) pour sa seule sortie du meeting. Il a depuis connu des fortunes diverses mais a rassuré tout son monde en gagnant le « Roger Saint » à Compiègne. Sa fraicheur sera un atout de taille, attention à lui. Revoyant ses ambitions à la baisse ce mardi, Jost devra rendre du poids aux deux premiers nommés mais garde toutefois son mot à dire pour le podium comme le troisième atout de l’écurie Nicolle, Earl of Shannon, sans doute un peu en-dessous en valeur intrinsèque mais fiable.
