Larry du Doubs n'a été confié qu'une seule fois à Eric Raffin, en compagnie duquel il a signé le seul trophée de sa carrière. Déferré des postérieurs pour cette réapparition, il peut remettre le couvert dans ce lot qui n'a rien d'extraordinaire. Lettre A France, pieds nus pour la première fois, peut regarder les mâles dans le blanc des yeux. Loustic de Clécy n'a pas démérité pour son retour en piste au Croisé-Laroche et va logiquement monter en puissance là-dessus. Lucky des Landes sera avantagé par le rallongement de la distance. Le Tango du Renard, qui s'est classé deuxième sur la piste référence du Mans à l'automne, et Lucky Purple, sage, constituent des outsiders valables.
