Doué mais aussi très fragile, Jouruntome arrive sur la belle saison en étant loin d'être dans ses gains, et malgré le "neuf" derrière les ailes de l'autostart, il sera un favori logique. Toutefois, Java de Castelle, qui respire la santé, Jardin du Roi, de retour sur une piste corde à gauche, voire Joker d'Amaro, plutôt mal logé en seconde ligne, s'entendent tous à merveille avec amateures et feront tout pour lui voler la vedette, comme Just A Winner, lequel vient de bien se comporter dans un réclamer parisien où Juan Carlos Gifont avait encore fait des siennes.
