Lancé en pleine piste, dans la phase finale, alors qu'il figurait en retrait des deux 1ers, le partenaire de Tyler Gaffalione n'a cessé de regagner du terrain, ne relâchant pas son effort jusqu'au bout pour venir s'emparer de l'accessit d'honneur, aux abords du poteau. De bon augure !
