Première bonne course de ce très joli week-end deauvillais, le Prix du Calvados, avec un lot intéressant où Laulne, qui reste sur une bonne impression dans le Prix Six Perfections, peut espérer encore très bien faire, en dépit d’une présence britannique solide, emmenée par Les Bleus qui a fini troisième à ce niveau à Newmarket et doit pouvoir jouer un premier rôle ici, et Ornellaia dont le succès à Goodwood a été acquis avec un certain style. Classic Flower fut une solide dauphine de la première citée le 30 juillet dernier et aura elle aussi un bon rôle à jouer, comme Les Pavots, qui nous a plu à Vichy.
